"The challenge now is to transform education
systems into something better suited to the real needs of the 21st

Think Outside The Box
"The key to success is to risk thinking
unconventional thoughts. Convention is the enemy of progress. If you go

FIRST Robitics Competition 2013
We at the Christopher Haven Foundation are
proud to say we are happy to be helping mentor a team this year in the
FIRST Robotics Competition! It's amazing what young minds can do when
you have the ability to give them some inspiration and initiative to be
innovative and creative. One of the High School students on the FIRST
team we are mentoring just got accepted to MIT!

Adam Savage: How Simple Ideas Lead to Scientific Discoveries
Adam Savage walks through two spectacular
examples of profound scientific discoveries that came from simple,
creative methods anyone could have followed -- Eratosthenes' calculation
of the Earth's circumference around 200 BC and Hippolyte Fizeau's
measurement of the speed of light in 1849.
John Cleese on Creativity
This
is one of my all time favorite talks on creativity by actor/comedian
John Cleese. He does a great job of describing how the creative process
works and how important it is for coming up with good ideas in almost
every field.
